Regardless of whether the US left Paris again or not, if there's enough market momentum the US would simply leverage the clean tech opportunity without sticking to any climate goals as a nation. But I agree that trade barriers would bring up the overall cost of clean tech... Most crucially, the geopolitical alliances that will follow the election results will determine the economic/trading blocks and shape the overall market.
It’s disgusting to read Kate say that China would seek an excuse to evade its climate commitments. It’s this kind of unjustified presumption and cynicism that makes cooperation in the world so difficult. Kate needs to be held to account for her prejudicial views.
